What data we process about you, why we need it and what rights you have
1. Who processes your data
The controller is Michal Muskolay, with registered office at Vinohradská ulica 2778/6C, 931 01 Šamorín, Slovak Republic, Company ID (IČO): 55 074 766, registered in the Trade Register of the District Office Dunajská Streda, trade register number 210-44182.
For anything concerning data protection, contact us at contact@muskolay.com or +421 950 445 450. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to.
2. What data we process and why
Enquiry through the form, by e-mail or by phone
We process your name, e-mail address, phone number and the content of your message so that we can reply and prepare a quotation. We do so on the basis of steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract. We keep this data for 2 years from the last communication.
Orders and invoicing
We process the client’s identification and billing details in order to perform the contract and to keep our accounts. The legal basis is performance of a contract and our legal obligation. Accounting documents are kept for 10 years.
Photo and video recordings
Filming produces recordings of people. If you are our client or a performer, we process them on the basis of a contract or your consent. When filming at events, we record documentary and atmosphere footage on the basis of our legitimate interest and the organiser’s interest in documenting the event. If you do not wish to appear in the footage, tell us on site or write to our e-mail address and we will remove the shot.
Visiting the website
We measure traffic using Google Analytics — anonymised data about the device, the browser and the pages visited. We do this only with your consent. For security reasons we also log IP addresses in connection with unauthorised access attempts, on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the website; these logs are deleted within 6 months.
3. Who we share data with
We do not sell data. We share it only with those without whom the website and our work would not function:
- our web hosting and e-mail provider,
- Google Ireland Limited — Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA, which protects the form against spam,
- Automattic (Akismet) and Defiant (Wordfence) — protection against spam and attacks,
- our external accountant,
- YouTube and Instagram, if you play an embedded video or view an embedded post on our website.
4. Transfers outside the European Union
Some of the providers listed above are companies based in the USA. Such transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, or by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
5. Cookies
- Essential — they keep the website running, remember your language and make the form work. The website would not function without them, so they are always set.
- Analytics — Google Analytics. These are set only with your consent.
- Embedded content — YouTube and Instagram may set their own cookies when you play a video or view a post.
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may limit how the website works.
6. Your rights
In relation to your data you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where we process data on the basis of consent, you may withdraw it at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

If you believe we are handling your data incorrectly, you may lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk.
7. How we protect your data
The website runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, access to the administration is protected by strong passwords and a security plugin. Footage and project data are kept on password-protected devices and storage, accessible only to a small circle of collaborators.
8. Changes to this document
We may update this document, for example when a new service or tool is added. The wording published on this page always applies; the effective date is shown at the top.
